What Are You Storing?
- RV & Motorhome Storage — From pop-ups and travel trailers to fifth-wheels and Class A motorhomes, choose outdoor or covered spaces sized 25–40+ ft. Prep for storage (winterize, disconnect batteries, secure awnings) for best long-term results.
- Boat & Watercraft Storage — Store fishing boats, wake boats, pontoons, PWCs, and trailers year-round. Pick indoor for smaller craft, covered for extra weather protection, or outdoor for cost-effective convenience.
- Car Storage — Short- or long-term storage for sedans, SUVs, and pickups. Most vehicles fit 10×20–10×25 indoor units; outdoor covered/uncovered stalls also available.
- Motorcycles, ATVs & Small Vehicles — Keep bikes and small powersports secure in 5×10–5×15 indoor units; add a trickle charger and breathable cover for long-term storage.
Vehicle Storage Considerations
Look for electronic gate access, bright lighting, and video surveillance at the facility.
Most locations offer extended hours (typically 6 a.m.–10 p.m.); some offer 24/7 access—ask your manager.
In hot, humid, or storm-prone climates, indoor or covered options can help protect finishes, seals, and interiors.
Wide drive aisles and generous turning radii make it easier to park long rigs or trailers.
Choose a location close to home, storage yard, or favorite launch point to simplify pick-ups and drop-offs.
Vehicle Storage Guidelines
To keep everyone's property safe and our facilities running smoothly, please note:
- Operational & Registered: Vehicles must be operable, properly registered, and insured.
- Driven In: Vehicles must be driven into the space (no storage on blocks or towed-in inoperables).
- Fuel & Fluids: Reduce fuel level, check lines and gaskets; place a drip tray/cardboard under the engine if storing long term.
- Tires: Inflate to recommended PSI; inspect periodically for flat-spotting or dry rot.
- Covers: Use breathable covers for outdoor storage; secure tie-downs where permitted.
- No Repairs On-Site: Mechanical work or body repairs aren't allowed within units or on the lot.
- Trailers & Boats: Trailers must be roadworthy; boats/RVs should display current plates where applicable.
- Insurance: All tenants must maintain coverage. You're automatically enrolled in our Tenant Protection Plan at move-in and may provide proof of your own policy within 30 days for a credit.
Always review your rental agreement for site-specific rules.

Vehicle Storage FAQs
Where can I store a vehicle near me?
US Storage Centers offers vehicle storage at locations nationwide—search by city or ZIP to see options and sizes.
Can I store a vehicle inside a storage unit?
Yes. Cars, motorcycles, and some small boats/trailers fit in drive-up units (most commonly 10×20–10×25). Larger vehicles typically use covered or outdoor parking.
Do you offer long-term vehicle storage?
Absolutely. All leases are month-to-month, so you can store for weeks, months, or longer.
What’s the most affordable option?
Outdoor (uncovered) parking is usually the most budget-friendly for larger vehicles. Covered and indoor spaces add protection at higher price points.
Is 24-hour access available?
Many locations offer extended access; 24/7 is available at select facilities. Check your local property for details.
