Marina Del Rey Self Storage

Marina Del Rey, California is an unincorporated, census-designated seaside area located in Los Angeles County and is a very small area which encompasses a total of 1.5 sq. miles. Marina Del Rey is located southeast of Venice and north of Playa del Rey and bound on all sides by the City of Los Angeles.  It is located 4 miles north of Los Angeles Airport.

The climate of Marina Del Rey tends to be in the 70’s during the summer months and in the 50’s during the winter months.  The warmest month of the year is August and the coldest month of the year is January.  The average annual precipitation is 13 inches per year with the wettest month of the year being February.

Marina Del Rey is served by the Marina Freeway (S.R. 90) which links the city to I-405 to nearby Culver City. Marina Del Rey operates a water shuttle service (known as the WaterBus) operates between several points in the harbor which is a great means of transportation.  The cost of the WaterBus is $1 per person.

The 2007 population of Marina Del Rey was 8,340 . The estimated median household income in 2009 was $81,401. The median age of Marina Del Rey residents in 2009 was 33.3 years. The estimated median house or condo value in 2009 was $359,446.    The gross median rent (2009) was $1,904.  The cost of living in this city is high.

The population density as of 2009 was high with 9,476 people per square mile. The racial demographic of Marina Del Rey (2009) indicated the following – 75.3% White, 8.7% Asian, 8.2% African American, and 6.7% Hispanic.

The largest employers in the Marina Del Rey area are Guidance Solutions, Inc., TheBrain Technologies, AstroFlight, Gravity Interactive, Sonic Management, and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.   Most of the major businesses are located on the main street of Marina Del Rey known as Admiralty Way. Tourism is also a major industry of this area, there are numerous hotels located in this city.
