More than Just Baseball Fans

For as long as I can remember, my family has been Dodgers fans. We're more than just baseball fans, though. For us, baseball means season tickets every year, and it means plenty of drives in to Los Angeles to see our team play. Because we're all die-hard Dodgers fans, we have a ton of baseball gear to deal with year in and year out. Even though we can't tailgate at Dodger Stadium, we still have a tailgate party nearby before almost every game that we go to, and that comes with a ton of gear – including shade tents and coolers and portable grills galore. We wouldn't be able to deal with all this stuff if it weren't for our Pomona Self Storage unit at a location called US Storage Centers.

We came up with the idea of renting a Pomona Self Storage unit a few years ago, when we were having trouble figuring out where to store all the tailgating gear we used every baseball season. Since we only use that stuff during baseball season, it seems silly to keep it at home, where it just takes up space that we feel could be better used for other things. However, we also didn't want to pay a fortune for a bigger storage unit than we needed.

So, we started checking out our options. We looked at several different storage facilities until we found the US Storage Centers Pomona Self Storage location. We chose this particular storage center for a few different reasons.

For one thing, the Pomona Self Storage center offered units that were perfectly sized for our needs. We didn't need a ton of extra space, but we did need to be able to store everything we used during baseball season – plus a few extra odds and ends that we had around our home and just wanted to get out of the way for the majority of the year. The unit that we chose allowed us to keep stuff organized without having to pay for extra square footage that we simply didn't need.

Also, the Pomona Self Storage center was close to home. It was really easy to access our coolers and such before we drove into Los Angeles for a game or before we hosted a party in our own home to watch an away game. With the long gate hours, we could get into our unit pretty much whenever we needed to, which made it easy to access our stuff when we needed it. You might think that a storage unit just becomes a black hole and that you'll never see any of the stuff you store in it after you put it there, but this really isn't true as long as you get a storage unit that is easily accessible and close enough to your home to make it a convenient drive for your or other family members!

Finally, we picked the US Storage Centers Pomona Self Storage location because it was really affordable. We didn't want to pay a fortune for storage, and with this storage location, we didn't need to. Our personal storage unit came with some great specials at first, so we paid even less for it than we thought we were going to have to. Since we've had the storage unit for a few years, we have definitely not regretted the extra expense. It's not a lot of money, and it's so worthwhile because we don't have to worry about finding extra space in our home for all our baseball gear.

At first, we thought we might just use the storage unit outside of baseball season and then terminate the lease during the season. The reasoning was that we used our baseball gear so often during the season that we wouldn't want to store it. In the long run, though, it's been easier to just keep the gear in the storage unit, even during baseball season. After all, it's so easy to get to, and the storage unit is so affordable, that this really hasn't been a problem at all. It's easier than having to clear out a space in the garage during baseball season, anyway.

In the long run, getting aPomona Storage unit from US Storage Centers in which to store all our extra baseball tailgating gear has been a great option for us. We don't have to worry about being unable to get to our gear before a Dodgers game, but we also don't have to worry about finding a place to store all that junk at home! Plus, it's nice to have the storage unit on hand just so that we have a place to put other things we need to store at random, such as holiday decorations or stuff for the kids when they're home from college.
