Storing My Kids' Off Season Sports Stuff

When you have three kids who are all very athletic, the sports season can be crazy. It's lots of running around to practices and games and such, and it can get a little hectic, to say the least. That, I expected as a parent of athletes. What I didn't really expect, though, was the sheer volume of sports equipment that I would be forced to find a spot for in my house. There is so much equipment between the three kids and their three sports each that there's really not enough space in our house to store it.

The day I broke my ankle because I stepped on a left-out baseball, I decided it was time for things to change. We couldn't move to a bigger house, but I could definitely find more space for my kids' sports stuff in a Santa Fe Springs Self Storage unit. I chose this location for my kids' sports equipment for a few reasons.

The location could have been next door to our house, but if it wasn't easy to get in to at different times of the day, that wouldn't have done me much good! Luckily, I can get into the unit any time during gate hours, which are plenty long enough for our needs to be able to get the equipment out for games.

I also liked the prices of the Santa Fe Springs Self Storage location. It wasn't that expensive at all, and it was definitely worthwhile to be able to have a little bit of sanity and some more space in our home, for sure! The Santa Fe Springs Self Storage also had discounts for the first few months' worth of rental, so I could save even more money there.

As a busy mom, I’m pretty good about staying on top of the bills, but I also have a lot on my plate. That's why I'm also glad that US Storage Centers Santa Fe Springs Self Storage location has an online payment option. It's great to be able to pay my bill online and not have to worry about yet another check to mail or run by the location so that we won't be overdue on our storage unit!

Of course, the security of the Santa Fe Springs Self Storage unit isn't a bad factor in the decision making process, either. It's not like someone is likely to break open a unit just to steal a bunch of kids sports equipment, but if someone did break into our unit, there's some expensive stuff in there! The fact that all of the units have individual alarms and you have to have a gate code to get in makes me feel more comfortable leaving all my kids' sports equipment there.

So far, the Santa Fe Springs Self Storage location has been great for us. It's been so nice to be able to clear some of the unused sports equipment out of our house, and I don't have to worry about stepping on random pieces of equipment anymore! I even cleaned out some of our closets at home and took some off season clothing and other items over to the storage unit where they'll be completely out of the way.
