Stanton, California is located in the western part of Orange County.  This city encompasses 3.1 square miles.   Stanton is landlocked and bordered on the north by Anaheim, Cypress on the west, and Garden Grove to the east and south.  Stanton is 2.6 miles from Garden Grove, 6.2 miles from North Coast, and 29.4 miles from Los Angeles.

The area where Stanton is located was part of one of the largest land grants made in California covering over 300,000 acres of land.

The City of Stanton was incorporated in 1911 and then unincorporated in 1924 based on the decision of voters. The decision to unincorporated Stanton was so the state government would pay for the building of roads, if this area was incorporated the city would be responsible for building of the roads.   Stanton was then incorporated for the second time in 1956 after the area experienced a population boom.

Stanton is very accessible from area freeway.  Stanton is located north of the Garden Grove Freeway (22), south of Artesia Freeway (91), east of San Gabriel Freeway (605), and west of Golden State Freeway (5).

This community is very family oriented and home to 4 public school districts and 1 private Catholic school.  Stanton is home to several parks of which many cater to families with young children and youth sports are very popular.  Adventure City Amusement Park is located in Stanton.  This park has rides and shows that appeal to children less than 12 years of age.   This city also hosts 3 major community events each year that again cater to families with young children.  These events are Summerfest, a Halloween Fair, and Christmas in the City.  With this city being focused on family, children, and youth sports, many families will most likely be searching for storage solutions for excess sporting equipment.

The 2009 population of Stanton was 37,909 which was a 1.4% increase since 2000. The estimated median household income in 2009 was $52,446. The median age of Stanton residents in 2009 was 30.0 years. The estimated median house or condo value in 2009 was $313.476.   The median gross rent in 2009 was $1,205.

Stanton does not have any colleges or universities within the city limits, but it is located within 10 miles of several colleges and universities that have a student enrollment of over 2000.  These colleges include Cypress College (Cypress), Bethesda Christian University (Anaheim), Golden West College (Huntington Beach), University of Phoenix-Southern California Campus (Fountain Valley), Coastline Community College (Fountain Valley), Long Beach City College (Long Beach), and Santa Ana College (Santa Ana).  Communities such as Stanton that are located near institutions of higher learning would benefit from storage facilities as students move in and out and out of the city.  Students that live in dorms or rent in this area would benefit from secure storage facilities to store their items during summer break.

The Stanton Chamber of Commerce promotes the businesses in the area.  The goals of this group are to create a strong local economy, promote the community to attract new businesses, provide networking opportunities for local businesses, and represent the interest of businesses with government.

The population of Stanton showed a significant increase in population from 2000-2009 and all signs will that population will continue to increase in the years to come.  As people are in the process of relocating to this area they are in definite need of secure storage for their items.
