Let’s preface this with: what CAN’T you use a your Las Vegas storage unit for? We know that some obvious things- like living in it and cooking it- are completely out of the question. However, we did think of 10 REALLY good uses for a self-storage unit. Some of them might surprise you. (Keep your eyes peeled for number 5!) 1. Old Clothes- Store away all of your child’s old clothes that are too small for them to use, but too pretty or sentimental to donate. You can always store them until the next child- yours or a friend’s- needs them. 2. Library!- Are you a self-proclaimed bibliophile? Can you imagine lining your self-storage unit with book shelves, and then loading the shelves with books? You would never have to worry about overloading your home library again! Keep gathering books into a climate-controlled, secure hideaway. 3. Outdated Electronics- Warning! Old electronics are “in” right now. For your own financial future, never, ever, EVER throw away an old electronic that you even THINK might one way be valuable. Haven’t you heard about how much old iPods are selling for? Use a unit in a Las Vegas self storage to house old TV’s, old game consoles, and more. Who knows? You may be storing away your retirement in a safe place. 4. Kids Leave - Kids going to college? You’re going to need to clear out some of their space to make room for that man cave or home office you’ve been waiting for! Of course, you love your kids. You’re not throwing their stuff away by any means. You can just simply keep their stuff in the storage until they come back. When they get apartments of their own, their stuff will still be available. 5. Make some MONEY- Do you own a small business? Do you want to? You’re going to need a place to keep your inventory! Instead of turning your beautiful home into a warehouse, keep your business inventory safely stored in a Las Vegas storage facility. You can save on overhead costs with affordable units, while having complete access to your inventory at any time. 6. Alternative Office Space- If working in a windowless, but really quiet, space sounds appealing, you can work from the inside of your storage unit. Check with your storage provider to see if accommodations like Wi-Fi is available. If the facility does NOT let you work out of your space, use your unit to store company files, office supplies, etc. 7. Crafting Space- Check with your storage facility to see if they allow this, but you can use your unit as a private crafting space for painting, pottery, or sewing. You can turn the space into your own little workshop to make the creations you’ve always dreamed of making, but never had the space to do so. 8. Moving Out- Are you moving to a new apartment? Congratulations! Where are you going to put the stuff you can’t fit? This is the most obvious reason to use a storage unit, but it’s amazing how many folk forget. If you’re moving to a new apartment or home in Las Vegas, store your large and extra furniture, appliances, and decor in a Las Vegas storage facility. 9. Collector’s Central- Do you collect “stuff?” Dolls? Trophies? Other decor? Store your treasured items in an air-conditioned storage unit. As an added bonus- with gated entrance, security, and locks, your collection is under tighter lock and key in a storage unit than it is in your home. 10. Work Out- Use your storage unit… as your GYM! Keep your weights and running devices in an air conditioned unit, while having the privacy of a secret gym. Check with your storage provider to see if getting buff in the unit is acceptable.
