How hard can it be? When thinking of storage, most of us mainly think: packing, hauling and unloading. Simple enough! But 2 weeks later, you need something out of your storage unit, but realize that you can barely make your way through in there, let alone find what you’re looking for. So to save you the hassle, here’s a quick list of ideas not many folks talk about… Plan out your storage space and place the items you’ll need frequently, in the front. Think of all the times you’ll roll those doors up, and label/display items as if strangers will see what’s inside (as extra precaution, to protect your items.) Leave some room for walkway(s). Fill each box completely, and place the heaviest items at the bottom, lighter ones on top. Label ALL boxes on all four sides, so you can easily identify what’s what. Leave a small space between the wall of your unit and the storage items. That allows for better ventilation. Try packing your boxes as close together as possible, to avoid moisture from accumulating in between them. Surely there’s more to storing than meets the eye, but don’t worry about burdening yourself with More things to research.
