Whether you live in a small studio apartment by yourself or a big house with a lot of people, you may find that your days can get very hectic. From errands to finding your house keys, this can put a lot of stress on you and family members. We put together 10 tips to help you ensure your days run as smoothly as possible. Accessibility. Keep your everyday items - such as car keys or jackets - in easy-to reach spots. For example, keep your keys next to the door or garage so you can grab them before you leave and keep your regular-wear jackets in the front closet. This way there is a designated spot and you will minimize the chance of loosing these everyday items. Checklists. Never underestimate the benefit of using a checklist. You can keep one in your home so you can remember to do simple things in the morning before you leave - such as take your vitamins - or you can keep one on your phone to remind you of all the errands you need to run this week. Alarm Clocks. Set an alarm clock for everything. You can have one alarm go off to tell you when you need to wake up, another go off five minutes before you need to leave for work or school, and and another for when you need to take any medication. You'll never miss a beat. Stay Hydrated. There is no reason to carry a gallon jug with you everywhere you go, but invest in a reusable water bottle so you can bring water with you on the go. You need to stay hydrated and the golden rule is to drink half your body weight in ounces per day. Get a Money Management App. It is easy to get carried away and overspend your money while relying on your credit card until the following pay day. However, you can easily avoid these mistakes by using apps like Mint. Mint is an app that documents how much you spend and records your monthly bills. The app also includes daily reminders for paying your bill on time. Recycle and Donate. Do you have unworn clothes hanging in your closet, unopened shopping bags, or clothes with tags? What about unread books by your nightstand? Chances are, we have not worn a handful of clothes or opened the books collecting dust on our shelf. Donate them to charity or drop them off at your local donation center, such as GoodWill. Two Hampers. Keep separate hampers for the different types of laundry you do - whether that's light vs dark clothing or items that need to be dry cleaned vs. washer-friendly. This will make doing your laundry super easy, especially if you need to have something cleaned at the last minute. Shopping List Template. Be sure to write down a grocery list of essential food items. It is tempting to walk into the grocery store hungry and buy items you may not even need. Keep a template of your typical grocery store foods so you never forget important items. This can include milk, breakfast cereal, tissues or toilet paper. Store Items You Don't Need Right Now. Keep out-of-season items out of sight. It will help you stay on top of your morning routine if everything you need is in sight or easy to reach. Depending on how many items you have, you can either store them under your bed or find a local storage unit. Think Ahead. Try your best to prepare as much as you can ahead of schedule. This can be coordinating your outfit for the next morning or giving yourself an extra 10 minutes (give or take depending on distance) to get to a meeting. We hope that these ten tips will allow you to have a stress-free day everyday! If you have suggestions that weren't mentioned here, please share them with us on Facebook or Instagram.
