DO call the storage facility first, before visiting it! The way we see it, quality customer service is most valuable. If you'll ever need to call the office with any questions, you'll know ahead of time what type of customer service you'll be receiving. DON'T be afraid to ask questions! You should absolutely get all your questions or concerns answered upfront. Your valuables are at stake after all. This again, will speak volumes about the customer service at the facility as well. A good manager will be more than happy to answer all of your questions and make sure that you understand all of your rental options. Our managers do :-) DO choose a location that is close to your home or office. Driving 40 minutes to get your T-Shirts out of storage will be awfully inconvenient. DON'T underestimate the amount of space you'll need. Too many times, folks rent out a small unit to save money, and then realize that they can’t fit everything they have! A good facility manager should be able to help you find the right size unit specifically for your needs. DO think about what you’re storing. Books, Electronics, Artwork, and Sentimental items like pictures, etc. might need a climate-controlled unit. Ask the facility manager to help you establish the best fit for your needs. DON'T make your decision simply based on price. Sometimes the cheapest facility may fit your needs, other times it may not. Make sure that the location you choose has the features that are important to you. Some quality features that you should keep in mind are: online functionalities, key-code gated entrances, climate-control, video monitoring, etc. In addition to all the qualities listed above and the customer service we're known for, we have move-in specials we know you'll love. PLUS - on our Facebook page, we'll post additional ways to save. Join us! Happy storing, US Storage Centers
