2. Sky Zone Trampoline Park
You’ll discover that trampolines are more than just for jumping up and down. You can do, all sorts of very cool things you thought only expert jumpers could do. This indoor trampoline park is filled with tons of unique ways to take what was once just a fun thing to do as a kid and make it dynamic and memorable.
3. Huy Fong Foods, Inc.
Perhaps it seems crazy, but touring the factory in which they make and bottle the beloved sriracha sauce is some of the most interesting and most fun times you may have. It is a favorite of many Irwindale residents and has become something of a legend. You definitely won’t regret it and will even learn a thing or two.
4. Santa Fe Dam
You’ll find lots to do at this beautiful water area and will discover unique wildlife and plants you’ve never seen in person. There are great areas for swimming and kayaking as well as good bike paths and some hiking. You’ll enjoy fishing the different waterways and watching the beautiful waterfowl delicately glide across the surface.
5. Bridge to Nowhere in Azusa
This unfinished bridge in the San Gabriel Mountains is a local treasure and one of the most popular hikes in Los Angeles. It’s also the sight of great bungee jumping (but we’ll get to that next). Carve out plenty of time for this rather lengthy hike, because it’s a beautiful spot and you’ll definitely want to see it through.
6. Bungee America in Azusa
When you’re looking for something new and different to try, bungee jumping off a bridge is definitely up there. It’s a pure adrenaline rush that makes you feel like you’re really alive and can sometimes be a bit addicting after the first time. That may not happen to you, but it’s guaranteed it’ll be an experience unlike any other.
7. Irwindale Swimming Pool
This is a fun public pool that’s great for exercising and cooling off during the summer heat. It reopens June 10 and stays open until August 21. It offers classes and has great areas to just lounge about when you’re ready to get out of the water for a little sun bathing (with a good SPF sunblock, mind you).
8. L.A. Racing
If you’ve ever wanted to get behind the wheel of a racecar, here’s your chance. This is great for any novice or dreamer, because the staff will walk you through every aspect of how to make the most of your time on the track and feel safe while doing it. It's one more thing to scratch off your bucket list.
9. The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire
From April 2 to May 15, you can jump back into the middle ages and tear into a turkey leg with wild abandon. This annual celebration of Jolly Ole England is something of a legend and brings out looky-loos and serious costumed devotees alike. Whichever you are, you’ll find the whole thing incredibly fun and delightfully escapist.
10. Pacific Theatres Vineland Drive-In
The theatre shows first run movies and does double duty as a swap meet on off days. It’s unique, because it has multiple screens, and is open 7 days a week, rain or shine, including holidays. That means you can give into your nostalgia for viewing films this way whenever you want.
