Two weekends ago, we had the chance to be a part of the Bill Luke Bass Days event here in Peoria. Held on Lake Pleasant, it is a three day Bass, Catfish and Carp fishing tournament that involves a ton of people fishing, swimming, playing and basically chilling together as a community. There were prizes for a ton of different categories, including $10,000 to the biggest overall bass over the three days. While we were tempted to cast a line out and try our hand at hooking a bass, we were having such a good time in the tent meeting and speaking with people that the fishing took a back seat. On top of the fishing, there was the carnival complete with a Merry-Go-Round and a Ferris Wheel. It was a blast watching families enjoy three beautiful days on the lake with some wholesome activities. We even got to see some fly boarding in person! The Internet video can’t compare to seeing someone go shooting up 15 feet into the air and fly over water. We put together the following slideshow for those of you who missed the event. Next year we will definitely have to try our hand that the fishing competition. [tribulantslideshow galleryid="2"]
