With the holidays behind us, now is the perfect time to reap all the benefits of a storage unit. Storage units are great for keeping your home clutter-free and organized. Do you have festive decor that you put out for the holidays, from Halloween and Thanksgiving to Hanukkah and Christmas? Or maybe you have some fun outfits, like a crazy Santa costume or pajamas with candy canes. Or maybe you just need a place to store the bad gifts you received. If you can relate to any of the above mentions, then you can benefit from a storage unit! Here's why: Keep your home organized. Forget about clutter or over-crowding, your home will stay neat and organized. Easily access items. Don't let too many items prevent you from easily finding what you need. You'll keep any winter essentials in close reach. Have a safe outlet. Any items that don't go with the rest of the decor or if you just didn't like a gift you received, keep it out of sight, but close by. Start by assessing any holiday items. These include, but are not limited to, Christmas trees and ornaments, festive lights and decor, and holiday-themed bathroom towels. All of these items are cute to have around your home when many people are also rejoicing in the holidays, but once the days pass, it's time to pack them up and move them out. Other items to consider are gifts that you either did not like or just don't have the space for, but feel too sentimental to trash or donate. A storage unit is the perfect way to keep it out of sight, but still readily accessible. Or perhaps you bought a gift for someone else and ended up not exchanging with them. Save the gift for next year or any other upcoming birthday or anniversary where it could be gifted. Next, look at your seasonal items. During the winter months, this can include summer dresses and swimsuits, beach or picnic gear, and flip flops. As much as we love these items, they just are not practical to keep around the house now that we're in January. These warm-weather items are taking space away from beloved winter items that you need, such as bulky sweaters and warm coats, or rain boots and umbrellas. And if you're like us and you have two bedroom comforters for the warmer and colder months, the lighter comforter is great to keep in a unit.
