Cleaning up after your kids is no easy feat, especially when it comes to their bathroom. Between getting ready in the morning and nighttime baths, there are a million ways your kids' bathroom can get cluttered and dirty. And once you do get the bathroom clean and organized, it can unravel in just a matter of minutes. It doesn't matter if your children are young toddlers or in their teen years, or if there is one child or seven, you need some creative hacks and design ideas to help you clean up their bathroom. 1. Hooks with Labels Kids love to just throw their wet towels on the floor after using them, but unfortunately, this can create a feeding ground for mold and cause towels to get mixed up. Put in some fun hooks that are labelled – or better yet, have monograms with their initials - so that your kids can easily and quickly hang the towel and remember which one is theirs. 2. Substitute a Bathroom Hamper Rather than using a hamper in the children’s bathroom, stick a plastic bin in the bathroom for them to throw their clothes in. That way, if clothes are wet or dirty, they will not ruin a pretty laundry hamper and you can easily carry a plastic bin to the washroom when it is time to do laundry. 3. Cleaning Supply Solution Your kids’ bathroom most likely needs its own supply of cleaners. Use a small caddy that will fit under the sink to hold cleaning supplies so it will be easy to pull out and take with you from the bathtub to the toilet to the sink. And, if your kids are old enough to participate in cleaning their own bathroom, you might want to pin a bathroom cleaning checklist to the inside of the bathroom cabinet for a quick reference. 4. Corner Shelves If your children’s bathroom is small, make use of vertical space with a corner shelving unit. Store spare toilet paper rolls, toiletries, or towels and linens on the shelves. This is a great solution for homes that have children of all ages. The little ones can make use of the lower shelves, while items the younger children do not need access to, plus the older children’s items, can be stored on the upper shelves. 5. Utilize the Space on Inside of the Cabinet Door One of the biggest complaints about bathrooms is lack of storage space. Why hang one towel rack on the inside of the bathroom cabinet door when you can hang three? Or hang a pocket shoe organizer, cut to the size of the door, to make extra space for whatever you need to store there. We hope these tips & tricks work for you! And best of all, you can even use them when you're in the process of decluttering your bathroom. If you have any unique hacks that work for you, share them with us on Facebook or Instagram.
