Update, July 2025: the newest member of the team at this location nailed it again today. Marie was sooo helpful, and took care of my transfer with efficiency and care. Highly recommend (and NaTasha continues to be incredible to work with, too). Highly recommend. --- I’ve been renting here for 9 months now, and the experience continues to be positive. Natasha & Ty have been fantastic, and I appreciate how clean and easy to access everything is. Carts are pretty readily available and I’ve never had issues with key codes or access. The only downside is common to many storage facilities: bathrooms are locked when the office is closed. While my goal is to not need offsite storage within the next few months, I remain happy to be here (vs elsewhere), and have felt well supported and respected as a tenant. —- original review— Thrilled with the onboarding experience! Friendly and helpful management + clean, functional space + prompt remediation of building issues is already evident within our first 24 hours on the premises. Grateful for the ease we’re experiencing after prior experiences elsewhere. Thanks, David!

Nice location and building for a great price. Only downside was they told me to bring a padlock and when I got there they said I needed a special cylinder lock that they didn’t have any of and no one in town has one. Ty was super helpful though and showed me around the place after giving me some recommendations on where I might pick one up.

All set up with my storage unit. NaTasha showed me around to a few sizes to help me figure out what works best. They use cylinder locks which are more difficult to break into and have security cameras throughout the facility.

I went in looking for a safe, clean storage with a location between Mpls and St. Paul. NaTasha was extremely helpful, friendly and professional in her recommendations for the correct size unit for my needs. I agree with her- if you are unsure- it's better to size up a little than to size down. Facilities are very clean, well-lit and location is easily accessible to the freeway.

Extremely helpful! Anticipated my questions and had my new unit and lock ready in two minutes. I was shown the unit, which was spotlessly clean. The new lock worked beautifully. I was shown how to operate the freight elevator and given a cart to bring my things to the second floor. What a pleasant experience!

This is the best check-in experience I’ve ever had with a storage space. David was very friendly and even stayed a few minutes late to accommodate getting my lease signed, making sure the gate code worked, and Making sure I was happy with the space he picked out for me, which was completely spotless when we opened the door! The total process took about 15 minutes tops and I was able to get to work on the spot! Thanks David!!

Amazing amazing guy at the front desk he was able to stay late a couple minutes for me to get my unit up and going because I wouldn't be able to come to the storage unit in time I'd have to get off work fairly early and being as I'm at it a new job it's frowned upon to call out so often so he's a lifesaver I really appreciate him and this company is pretty awesome storage units are easy to use and yeah we're good.

Not only do they actually staff their office unlike the competition, but they are also--unlike the 'COMPETITION'-- professional. After switching to lakeside US storage ive never had a single issue with anything...for example, i used to constantly run into a problem at unstaffed competitor facilities where u cant even pay your bill in Person because theyre so stingy that they wont even staff their freakin offices & so there never anyone around to help you or even take a PAYMENT...such as...PUB-LICK STORE-AGE. And US storage is also comparitively much more reasonable in how they apply late fees. Where public storage TRIED to charge me over $300 in totally bogus fees when i moved out with proper notice after having their unit less than a month, us storage has never tried to play any games yet 4 months in. BTW i moved out of the pub.sto. unit so quickly because, ONLY after paying for the 1st month up front, i discovered that they had lied to 'get me in the door' by exagerrating the unit length. I have a 29 foot camper that SHOULD have fit as they claimed it was 30 feet long, but it turned out length was only 28 ft.... anyways yea US storage has been a good experience so far, which is a big improvement from the constant problems that i experienced at competing facilities. Also if you want to be sure you get the best help, Shayla consistently knows what shes doing, genuinly enjoys helping, gives RELIABLE guidance, & stands by her word - highly rated for both character and integrity... for example drive through overhead door wasnt working when i signed the lease, so she agreed to adjust my lease start date to let me wait until it was fixed before moving in.

I’ve been with US Storage Centers for over five years, I was at the Crystal location for awhile and now at the Minneapolis location. It has been hands down the best storage unit experience ever!! I would 100% recommend them!!! They are affordable, FRIENDLY, and accommodating. Easy to get to and access by car. You can drive right in with a personal access code and they have carts to load your things up with and roll to your unit, which is amazingly helpful. Super clean as well (no bugs, no dust, no dirt) and extremely safe, secure, and brightly lit, which is important to me!

I can’t say enough about Extra Space Storage. I’m from out of state and they agreed to be help me ,via phone,take care of getting my things into a unit. The kept me informed every step of the way plus the took pictures of my things once they were in the unit and then locked it for me. They gladly put my keys in the mail to me also! Today couldn't have been better it was a last minute ordeal went to extra space storage and they got me all the way together. Brandon and layla had perfect customer service and the whole process was fast as ever. What could be better??? Brand spanking new facility with wonderful, helpful staff! Oh wait! Climate control too? I worked in shirt sleeves last night, my car was indoors. I wasn't even cold in this frigid weather snap. The place and people are great. I've used storage a couple of times, but none compare to this.
