Shelves and more One customer outfitted his Lancaster storage unit to fit his lifestyle. Here is how he made use of a 16’ X 20’ unit. On the left wall, he has a line of shelving units for miscellaneous items including personal items he doesn’t want to store at home. Most of these items, including specialty shoes, balls, gloves, and bats; he keeps in plastic storage containers. He keeps them labeled for easy access. The back wall is a large pegboard where he hangs his rock climbing accessories such as rope, pitons, carabiners, chalk bags, ice axes, and other tools. He uses the wall as a visual checklist so he doesn’t forget essential items that he might need halfway up a rock face. Treasure Chests Full of Fun On the back wall floor, our customer keeps his tool sets, hunting, and camping gear in large metal chests. The chests are sturdy enough that they make great stepping stools to help him reach the highest pegs on his pegboard. The right side of his unit is dedicated to anything long and rigid. Items such as water skis, snow skis, ski poles and anything else long and pointy he stands on end in their own separate slots. Just in front of that section, he has two metal cabinets that he hangs all of his ski clothes in, with the boots at the bottom. Many sports enthusiasts see Budget Self-Storage as the first stop to kick off the weekend and the last stop before going back home.
