Community Spotlight: 1010 Wine & Events, Inglewood's Award-Winning Wine Bar One of our favorite parts of becoming more involved in the Los Angeles wine community has been meeting the people who are helping shape what that community looks like. And it's hard to talk about wine in Los Angeles right now without talking about 1010 Wine & Events. Located in Inglewood, 1010 Wine & Events was opened in 2021 by sisters and lifelong Inglewood residents Leslie and Le Jones. They created something their city didn't have: its first and only wine bar. It's also an African-American-owned and women-owned business with a commitment to bringing more visibility to African American winemakers and wine brands. What they've built has received national attention. 1010 Wine & Events was named the USA TODAY 10Best Best Wine Bar in both 2025 and 2026, earning the recognition two years in a row. The bar also offers what it says is the largest selection of Black-owned wines in California, alongside its own 1010 Wines label. Those accolades are impressive, but what we love most is what 1010 represents for the local wine community. Our Head of Marketing has absolutely fallen for everything they're doing. From their support of Black-owned wine brands to the atmosphere they've created and their commitment to their hometown of Inglewood, this is exactly the kind of local business Del Rey Wine Center is proud to support. That's why we were so excited to partner with 1010 Wine for our LA Wine Fest giveaway. Three festival guests and winner of our raffle took home bottles of 1010 Wine. For us, this partnership is also about something bigger. Del Rey Wine Center wants to build relationships with the wine bars, wineries, restaurants, shops, sommeliers and other wine professionals who make Los Angeles such an exciting place to be a wine lover. We're honored that 1010 Wine & Events is one of those relationships, and we can't wait to see what we can create together in the future.
