1. If you have furniture like dressers and sofas that are flat on all sides, instead of storing it upright, try laying it on its side to create more room.
2. Always place heavy items at the bottom to avoid your items from being flattened.
3. If you're storing items that fit in a box like clothes or books, place them in boxes of the same size/type so that everything is neatly organized and easy to stack.
4. If you know you'll be visiting your unit frequently to retrieve certain belongings, place these items in the front of the unit so it's easily accessible.

Why are you charging every three months? It should be six months. Are you hungry for people's money? It should be 6 months or one year.
The money will be gone one day. Your house will be worth nothing after the NY stock market crashes one day. It will be no value in your bank or your house. Why are you trying to take people's money every three months and then increase the price? That is not smart. It shows a greedy heart. It is the same with apartment prices too. They are greedy people.

Person in office was good and the pricing seemed reasonable.
The reason for the score is this; I reserved the space and paid in full, but a very short time later, I learned that I would not need the space after all .
Nothing was moved in, there were plenty of spaces (so no lost opportunities to rent) and the interim time was very short.
I explained this to the person in the office who said she would talk with the manager about a refund and someone would contact me
No contact and no refund.
A refund would have been the right move and if it was made I would change my rating, even still.

So far good with exception of pricing. I know a few times bill higher since I paid a few days late. My invoice has went up by $40 or so and never received notice the fee would be increasing. Now it’s close to $20

I actually have a complaint. I paid my storage rent the month of November and ended up moving my stuff out of it and ending my lease in early October and I never got a refund for the month on November. I called the location I was at multiple times and they kept transferring me to the property manager which I left voice-mail because they were NEVER available and I NEVER heard from them nor got my refund.

I had referred a handful of people and WAS pleased with my rate ana the facility. Then experienced the insane rate increase per month that happens every 6-9 months. Prior to moving my stuff there, and signing a contract, I asked how often rate increases happened and was told “not very often”. I asked this because I felt my rate was too good to be true and sure enough, I was just being on BS. Just 6 months in and my rate went up 1/3 of what I was paying. I will be moving out, never referring another, and making my honest review wherever I can. US STORAGE is a BAIT AND SWITCH WITHOUT A DOUBT

Nice and safe facility. Very helpful front lady. Great experience moving in and moving out. The only thing one has to watch for - and that’s more about the company policy rather than the facility itself- is how early one has to inform them that one is moving out in order not to get billed for another month. I find it complicated and easy to miss.

I like the facility. I did not like how you continually raised my price. Also locking up the moving carts is a little ridiculous. Every square inch of that place can be seen on your cameras so if there is a problem you should use them to find the culprit not penalize everyone.

Mostly the experience is fine. Nice to see the bathrooms staying unlocked. It’s more polite than peeing in your bushes. However, jacking up the rates twice in a year is a bit much. I’m now paying 33% more than I did less than a year ago. At this rate, I’ll be paying as much as my mortgage for storage in a couple of years. And I don’t know where all this money is going, considering the building looks and smells the same, and you can’t seem to keep front office staff for more than a couple of months at a crack. Clearly they’re not being paid.

I would categorize your company as a a predatory business enterprise who lures their victims in with misleading low introductory rates in order to profit from auctioning their belongings despite economic hardship during a recession and pandemic. I’m I was never told of the actual price I would be paying for my unit. The price nearly doubled without my knowledge in an in a couple months. He feels up to not warming of this despite knowing that I was set up for auto draft on a fixed balance account. Needless to to say, I fell behind. And was told the only way I could get my stuff back with payment in full, including bullshit late fees and penalties. I was even charged for my lock being cut… it seems your goal was to profit from auctioning my belongings, because when I tried to pay with my credit or debit card, I was not allowed to. Even though those were the cards I’ve been paying with the entire time. Check on money order only. Despicable.

Change your rates 2/3 time in a 4/5 month period, shop around, there are storage centers that lock you in at 1 price for 13 months. Also Customer service is not customer service, no help at all. Good luck! RUN

The only problem I have is that you get people in the door and then you raise the price. I think it’s bad business. I didn’t change my unit I make my payment on time and you make some excuses to raise the rent after a short period of time. It makes me think you have a bad business plan. It’s like bait and switch.

Before moving out of my unit I let the property know that there was somebody living in the storage unit in my hallway, They had their wagon/traveling cart hanging out in the hallway in front of their unit constantly. Not only that but there was what seemed to be smeared feces and other undefinable substances all the way down the hallway which I have picture documentation of. I alerted the property of this issue several times over several months and the hallway was never cleaned which is not only disgusting but also not why I rented there. I thought I was renting at a high-quality storage facility. To add to this all of the boxes that I had stored there brought home to me flying pests which I’m having a very difficult time getting rid of. Completely disgusting! And also when I moved out, I I had to make several phone calls to get a moveout receipt, which was dated several days after I actually moved out and so I was not refunded the money that was due to me.

My initial experience upon signing the contract was quite positive and the customer service was responsive, efficient, professional and personable. I got a great deal on unit up front. However, much has transpired since that point. My location has gone thru multiple managers/personnel and fees have significantly escalated putting a serious financial strain on me as a senior citizen. Quite frankly, the late fee is exorbitant and ridiculously high!! I understand the application of a late fee but U.S. Storage is grossly excessive. Finally, it is extremely difficult to reach the manager or any support personnel at the facility. Most times, it takes me hours, if not days to finally reach someone! This is beyond the pale of frustration. U.S. Storage could truly modify their processes/procedures, level of access and fee structure.

Had moving truck there at 7:30am, gate code did not work and my unit was locked. Movers sat around over an hour until employee showed up and another 30 minutes to take the lock off. Should have been done the day before. All else went ok.

The customer service people at the site have each (all 3) been very helpful and courteous. The facility is very clean, and feels safe for us and our stuff. The last facility had homeless drug users inside the grounds, and my wife didn't feel like she could go there on her own. PLEASE keep homeless, crazy, drug addicts off your property! We did have to call 911 on a homeless overdose in your front parking lot. My wife was very upset, but the staff handled the situation (after some prompting). Safe access to our storage is very important to us, and that's why we chose this facility.

The facility is always clean, well-lit, and has several furniture dollies. The drive-in bays are spacious enough to accommodate just about ANY vehicle(s) you might be driving. And in the Ohoenix heat, they were a life-saver!

The manager of my location is fantastic and she seems to be on the ball. I routinely see her cleaning the driveways and monitoring activity around the facility. The location is brand new but it is kept clean. One of the entrance doors was not working properly and it was fixed the next day. I believe that to be a sign of good management.

My experience with US Storage Centers at Cave Creek Rd and Union Hills location was fantastic. Tia and Hunter did a great JOB professionally and expeditiously. I accidentally left my drivers license and when I returned to retrieve it the next day TIA literally ran it out to my car as I was parking. That meant a lot to me as a handicap disabled elderly woman. Hunter was a gentleman to me with a wonderful sense of humor. Tia is one top notch employee. We had a little glitch but that was because Tia, the completely AWESOME manager of the property where my stuff resides was sent across town and a ninny was put in charge.
No worries, it was temporary which is why I’d totally recommend this place.
It’s air conditioned and there are 3 indoor loading bays for when it is stupid-hot in summer.

Mostly positive. The facility is clean and well maintained. Usually don't see any other tenants. Security makes me safe.
One change I'd welcome. Our unit is on the second floor. Dealing with the elevator can be frustrating. Moving from floor to floor is quite slow(don't know if you can do anything to fix that), but managing the elevator door is also frustrating. If there was a way to keep the door from auto closing when we are loading the elevator that would be a major win.

I went to the facility at union hills and cave creek in AZ. I love love love the manager with long black hair. She was more than accommodating and amazing. The facility is cept very well and very clean. The only reason I gave it an 9 out of 10 is because I thought it was a little pricey. The security is great and the air conditioned loading docks are a huge plus. I would recommend this facility to anyone I knew that was looking for a good storage unit.

My only disappointment is the lighting the is very poor inside of both of my large indoor units.
The single led light does not provide enough illumination in a large unit. A second Led light would helpful.

From the first phone calls, Heather and Jazmine were very helpful in getting a storage space secured and clearly explaining the terms on our contract. From move in to move out, they were there to answer questions and provide any necessary support. The facility is new, very clean, well designed, secure and weather friendly. Loading and unloading can be done in air conditioned comfort! No words exist to describe the terrific experience I had with this facility...thank you Heather & Jazmine...you're the BEST!!!

The facility is clean. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The air conditioned bays and units are a must in this Arizona heat. The air conditioned bays for offloading and loading are a great addition. The carts make it easy to transport anything to the unit. Also the security and cleanliness off the entire facility is top notch. Overall impecable facility.
