US Storage Centers on Sonoma Ranch Boulevard is our full-service Las Cruces facility on the East Mesa: indoor climate-controlled units, drive-up units from 5×5 to 12×42, and RV parking up to 40 feet, with a friendly on-site team six days a week. Just south of US-70 near the Sonoma Ranch Golf Course, it's a clean, access-controlled, well-lit place to store what matters — whether that's a household in transition, business inventory, or the camper between trips. Rent online in minutes or stop by the office.

What storage options does the Sonoma Ranch facility offer?

Climate-controlled indoor units (5×10, 10×10, 10×20): a steadier indoor temperature than the desert outside, suited to wood furniture, electronics, instruments, artwork, and documents.
Drive-up units (5×5 through 12×42): pull your car or truck straight to the roll-up door for easy loading.
RV and vehicle parking (20-, 30-, and 40-foot spaces): room for RVs, boats, trailers, and work vehicles — one of the few storage facilities on the East Mesa with dedicated vehicle parking.
Business storage: inventory and equipment with drive-up loading, plus boxes and moving supplies at the office.
Student storage: 5×5 and 5×10 units bridge NMSU summers and semesters, with climate-controlled options for electronics and instruments.
Moving and life transitions: month-to-month terms mean you keep the unit exactly as long as the move, remodel, or estate transition takes — no long-term commitment, and you can size up or down as things change.

Why store at Sonoma Ranch Boulevard?

This is our only Las Cruces facility with climate-controlled units and RV parking — if the desert heat or an oversized vehicle is the problem, this is the location that solves it. Las Cruces summers regularly climb past ninety-five degrees, and enclosed outdoor spaces can run hotter still; the indoor climate-controlled building holds a steadier range year-round, which is why customers place wood furniture, electronics, instruments, artwork, and family archives there rather than in a garage.

An on-site team is available six days a week for rentals, questions, and supplies, and the property features electronic gated access with your own entry code, 24-hour video recording, and wide, well-lit drive aisles. Local businesses use the larger drive-up units — up to 12×42 — as flexible stock and equipment space with curbside loading, and contractors like being minutes from East Mesa job sites via US-70.

Need simple, budget-friendly space on the east US-70 corridor instead? Our sibling facility offers drive-up storage on Bataan Memorial East with a fully contact-free rental.

Why Choose US Storage Centers?

Real local people. A staffed office and a team that knows its customers by name.
Nationally trusted, personally run. Privately owned since 1985 — national resources, local service.
Storage that gives back. This is a Kure It certified location: rentals here help fund underfunded cancer research.
Easy, on your terms. Month-to-month terms, online rentals in minutes, and a real person on the phone when you want one.

Life's Moments. Stored Well.™

Supporting Cancer Research Through Kure It

Our Las Cruces facility is proud to partner with Kure It Cancer Research, a nonprofit organization funding innovative cancer studies and treatment research. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting progress in medical research and giving back to the communities we serve.

How do you get to US Storage Centers on Sonoma Ranch Blvd?

From central Las Cruces, take US Highway 70 east, exit at Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, and continue south — the facility is just past the Sonoma Ranch Golf Course, near Las Colinas Drive, at 5000 Sonoma Ranch Boulevard. From I-25, join US-70 east toward the Organ Mountains and follow the same exit.

Driving from the NMSU/University area, take I-25 north to the US-70 east interchange and exit at Sonoma Ranch Boulevard. The gate and keypad sit at the main entrance on Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, and the drive aisles are wide enough for a moving truck or a vehicle with a trailer — you can pull straight up to any drive-up unit's roll-up door.

Nearby landmarks: Sonoma Ranch Golf Course, the East Mesa retail corridor along US-70, and the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument to the east. The New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum and the Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market are a short drive back toward town.

What neighborhoods does the Sonoma Ranch facility serve?

Sonoma Ranch, East Mesa, Northrise, High Range, Las Colinas, and the greater Las Cruces area, including Mesilla and Doña Ana. US-70 makes us an easy stop for Organ and White Sands-corridor residents heading into town, and East Mesa's newer neighborhoods — where garages fill up fast — are just minutes away. If you live or work along the US-70 retail corridor, the facility is on your regular route rather than a separate trip. Weighing both of our facilities? Compare storage units in Las Cruces, NM side by side on our city page.

What unit sizes are available at Sonoma Ranch?

10x10	Drive-up or climate	1-2 bedroom apartment
10x15	Drive-up	2-bedroom home
10x20	Drive-up or climate	3-bedroom home

Current rates and unit availability appear in the live unit listings on this page.

Yes. We offer indoor climate-controlled units in 5×10, 10×10, and 10×20 sizes. They hold a steadier temperature than outdoor conditions, which matters in Las Cruces summers — a better environment for furniture, electronics, documents, and anything heat can warp or fade.

Yes. We have dedicated vehicle parking spaces in 20-, 30-, and 40-foot lengths. They're a popular home base for trips to White Sands National Park and Elephant Butte Lake via US-70.

Drive-up units let you load straight from your vehicle at the roll-up door — the convenient choice for frequent access and bulky items. Indoor climate-controlled units trade curbside loading for a steadier temperature. Many customers split: everyday items in drive-up, sensitive items in climate control.

We're on the East Mesa, a short drive from campus via I-25 or US-70. Students often choose a 5×5 or 5×10 here for summer break, with climate control for electronics.

Rent or hold a unit online in minutes from this page, call the office, or visit in person — the team is on site Monday through Saturday. You'll get your gate code and unit assignment as soon as your rental is complete.

Yes — boxes, tape, and packing supplies are available at the office, so you can pack and store in one stop.

Gate access is currently listed as 6:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m. daily, with office hours Monday–Saturday.

Hello Steve, thank you so much for leaving us a great review!

Staff is very friendly. I felt like they had my best interests in mind and were very patient with my check list before I moved forward with the storage rental. I enjoyed this experience. A lot shorter of a process than other storage facilities. I love knowing my items are stored safely inside under controlled temperatures instead of outside. Also when I was moving my things in I ran into run of the staff members and she offered me a cold bottle of water. It was definitely much needed and help me get through a hot day of moving.

Hello Maria, thank you so much for your kind words! We appreciate you sharing your experience with us!

Great friendly service. Stored stuff here during a move. Had no problems with our stuff being secured. They do daily walks and alerted us one time when the unit didn’t get properly latched so that we could come and fix it. Only issue that we had at the end was one of our boxes broke, which Left an opening for a rodent to get in. They do set traps out, and that was the only box that he meddled in. All he did was make a nest out of newspaper that was wrapped around picture frames. Maybe somebody next to our unit didn’t follow the rules of no food and no liquids. They do, though Charge an Insurance fee with the storage unit. It’s not much but it is kind of annoying since our bank covers our storage unit with insurance.

Would be 5 stars but apparently only one person manages 2 locations on a Saturday. Showed up within office hours at 1145 am. Nobody was there and a sign was posted saying they’d be back at 330pm. That’s 4 hours. It was pretty inconvenient considering we had packed up an entire 15ft Uhaul expecting to unload it into the storage unit. When someone was there to meet us they were very helpful and had good customer service.

She was very patient with me, "and let me tell you I require a lot of patience." Lyllah explained everything until I understood. I would recommend others to US Storage Centers.

I just wanted to say that today was a very easy day for me thanks to the property manager. I believe her name was Lyllah Ávalos she was very helpful and I will definitely send my buddies to come here for storage units.

Property Manager Lyllah is awesome. Made move in a breeze and was very helpful.

I just arrived into town with my 16 foot truck and needed a good spot. Filling out the rental agreement online was easy and I got a phone call immediately upon completion. The customer service coordinator told me the manager would be expecting me upon my arrival to show me the facility. The manager was very personable and was committed to serving my needs through the storage process. I was greeted and treated like a welcomed guest. I felt very confident in my choice with US Storage :)

Front office is super!

A great place to store what ever you have. Staff friendly and helpful.

Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The facility is secure and always impeccable. We definitely feel like our stored items are safe. We highly recommend!

Best storage facility I've ever leased from!! I can't speak highly enough for this facility. Secure, clean, great pricing, and friendly staff. I have years of rental experience with multiple storage companies, and have had bad experiences with either security or significant rate increases. A+ storage storage started well, and ended just as well when I left. This is the only storage facility I would recommend to friends and family.

Excellent location for me. Always courteous when dealing with them and quick to call if something arises.

Very good prices. Great staff.

Really nice employees, always clean.

I feel my storage unit is kept safe as there are great employees plus even more, a well kept area that’s always clean and especially the rain never gets into my unit. I appreciate the effort put into your business as well as my items! Thx!

Great storage at a reasonable price

Nice and very new. I helped a church member store their stuff here. We were there after hours but it was clean and we had access to the climate controlled storage. I'm told that you need to be careful if you don't have a code. It won't let you out of the drive up storage. Multiple people have been seen stuck after hours who followed someone else in. I guess that's not really a bad thing.
