Facility Description
Many of our customers are using self storage for the first time, and they aren’t sure what size storage unit they need for their items. Our managers at our Laguna Niguel, California location completely understand this concern, and that’s why they like to take people on tours of the facility so they can visually compare unit sizes.
One of the biggest benefits of these tours is that our friendly and professional managers are able to ask you a couple of questions about what you need to store, and from there they can show you the unit that would be right for your needs. Another concern is that people aren’t sure how best to use the space they’re renting, and our manager’s here have over a decade of experience in storage and a ton of advice on how to properly pack your items into the unit.
A lot of folks comment that they’re surprised by how clean the units are, and that’s just one of the many benefits of taking a tour and talking to our expert managers. Our knowledgeable and friendly team is the best in the industry, and they’re eager to help with all your storage and moving needs.
Storage Units
We take great pride in our storage units which range in size from 5’ x 5’—for personal belongings, boxes and stackable items—to 20’ x 35’ for a house full of furniture or your business inventory. Ceilings in units are generally at least 8’ to 10’ high, and are up to 15’ high in select units. Large units (over 10’ x 12’) are supplied with timer lights inside the unit. The hallways are over 5’ wide throughout the property, and they include motion detected lighting for your convenience.
All the units have an easy roll-up door with a mix of drive-up style, indoor standard, and indoor temperature controlled. There are large elevators and flatbed carts available in the two convenient loading dock areas to make your move as smooth and easy as possible.
We also offer a free move-in truck. Please call and reserve days in advance to receive the desired day to use the truck.
There is a gated entry with a unique special access code for each tenant. Our units are individually alarmed, and they use a special cylinder lock. 24-hour digital video recorders are in place, and after-hours motion detecting perimeter beams are additional features of our storage facility.
Conveniently located at the north end of Camino Capistrano Road, customers can get to us from Interstate 5 via the Avery Parkway exit. From there you head north on Camino Capistrano Road all the way to the end. People can also enter Camino Capistrano Rd. from Paseo De Colinas.
Our three story modern cement and steel building can be seen from the 5 freeway. The building is highly visible and well lit with large signage.
We are a few buildings north of the famous Mugs Away Saloon and just up the same side of the street from Allen Cadillac (there since 1948)!
Many of our customers live in the surrounding communities of Dana Point, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Hills, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Ladera Ranch, and Aliso Viejo.

I have always loved the staff, They are great. Very friendly and helpful. I have been working with Cris and he is great. The premises are kept clean and there is usually parking. It feels very safe too. But, I just wish it was cheaper, and I don't like how fast the rates go up. To me the structure of how the price starts low and rates increase quickly is ugly business practices in my opinion. Leases should be for 1 year or something like that.
But, I know that's just how it goes. It motivates me to get rid of the stuff that I don't need. Us Americans have too much crap, and that is why storage centers thrive! Lol

My experience thus far has been nothing short of amazing. The staff was friendly nothing conflicted from what I saw online the units were clean well kept with easy access. The staff was more than friendly they were great they were very helpful informative and accommodated I had to use the truck for more than a day and they were able to reserve it for me for more than one which was awesome. I've been very happy with my whole experience My last storage unit was broken into everybody there was unfriendly and dealing with them after my unit was broken into was a nightmare. So far my experience has been great. Cris at the Laguna Niguel location on Camino Capistrano was extremely helpful and kind. My sister is helping me as i am coming from out of state and he was very through in making sure the proper steps were taken to verify everything with me in order for my sister to pick up the keys. She showed up just as he closed and he opened the door for her and even stayed late to make phone calls/communicate with me and show her the unit and make sure she knew how to use the lock. We are both very appreciative of Cris's professionalism and his willingness to help get us in the unit in a timely manner-even if it meant staying late.

Moving in was easy. I appreciated have use of the loaner truck to transport my stuff from my house to the storage facility. The truck did have a few issues however. 1) The gas gauge was broken so I never was really sure that I wouldn't run out of gas. 2) The brake warning light kept coming on even with the emergency brake off. 3) There was no backup camera or warning sensor. 4) There were many scrapes, dents, and even broken running lights noted on the pick-up inspection checklist. 5) The lug nuts on all wheels were very rusted. I was really glad that I didn't need to change a flat.

Overall the storage units are very nice and management is good as well... the problem is are your fees... your late fee is absolutely ridiculous and then a $15 lien letter fee is absurd! We realize you need to make money, but your storage fees are already higher than most others in the area and to assess these types of fees is outrageous in our opinion. Due to this we will be leaving as soon as possible.

I have used 4 or 5 properties in my time, and US Storage in Laguna Niguel will be the only one I use moving forward.
I have been storing at USLN for roughly 5+ years.
(If memory serves)
USLN property is managed by Julie and Tony. The entire staff is pleasant, professional, and incredibly helpful.
I really can go on and on about the personable nature of the staff, but just go experience it for your self!
The property has fully covered surveillance and gate coded security for peace of mind.
The units and property is very clean and the access hours are extensive.
5am - 9pm
After hour access can be scheduled.
Bottom line:
If you need a storage facility, you’d be remiss to not go here first.
