Our US Storage Centers’ facility at 1910 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard has everything you’re looking for in a self-storage center. Located next to easily identifiable landmarks like the Chuck E. Cheese’s, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, and Modell’s Sporting Goods, you can’t miss us. We serve clients throughout Philadelphia, although due to our location, most of our clients live in the neighborhoods of Dickinson Narrows, Pennsport, Whitman, and Wharton.

 

RV and Boat Storage

 

We provide RV and boat storage for residents living in the area as well as storage for extra automobiles. Our parking spaces are also easy to get to and maneuver around to make parking and retrieval hassle-free.

Staff members who physically work there, like Clarence, were very helpful to me when I was moving my mother out of a large unit to a smaller unit. However, at that time there was an active leakage of water into the unit & as things were being moved alot of mold & water damage was discovered! A claim was submitted to the Insurance back in January; however, we have had very little response after 3 phone calls initiated by me.

It's very good so far. Not too excited about the $5/month increase after exactly 6 months. I hope it isn't a reoccurring thing every 6 months. Other than that everything is great.

I have concerns about the safety of the contents of my storage unit, having seen large puddles of water seeping out from units after an apparent leak/burst pipe a couple months ago. I’ve also seen some also concerned about the hazards posed by the contents of other renters’ units. I’ve seen highly flammable items being placed inside an adjacent unit along with heavily smoke damaged items- the odor of which permeated my own unit. There doesn’t seem to be much oversight. Lastly, a few weeks ago a large PVC pipe rolled off the roof and fell onto the loading bay, nearly clobbering myself and 2 other people. Considering all of this and despite the really convenient location, fairly reasonable rates, and friendly staff, I can’t say I’d recommend this facility to friends and family.

When connected with staff they were extremely stellar, courteous-helpful-attentive to needs. Only problem is they are not always available during the work day, I understand that, can't be two places at once, but it makes for a difficult situation occasionally when you need on site help and you are not on site. I had a couple of issues but they were quickly attended to and resolved. Customer service is so important and I feel it keeps me in a place or makes me go. Staying here!

The things that don’t like is needed more security cameras inside of the building and the insurance needed to be optional by the customer and I founded a storage place close by that they don’t charge insurance so the end of next month I’m moving my storage there for 8 Months USA storage doesn’t give that option to not have insurance on my storage unit if they did give that option I will stay for the next 8 month that I needed. There was time that I didn't get a phone call back until two weeks later or after. I finally spoke with someone on this past Wednesday about trying to make a payment in about two weeks. I was trying to pay my bill but it was not let me do it online. I will still be out of state in two weeks.

It is a great, clean facility. Some things that have been inconvenient are the bathrooms. If the workers are on lunch break, you can’t get to the bathroom. Maybe there could be some way to have restrooms when they aren’t there? Also there are not enough carts to go around.

The facility is nice and clean. I guess nobody likes having to get a storage unit, but I'm pretty happy with your service. I don't like having to buy into your insurance plan as I already have insurance; it also seemed sneaky to make it a mandatory after-the-fact cost, but I wasn't left with any options. I would like if there were more dollies/carts, but I also understand that people steal them/hide them.

From the availability of cart to customers who arrive after 6pm,(non-existent), problems with gate not accepting the code to non-empathetic staff when problems arise; I will not be recommending this facility. Prior to this being managed by US Storage, it was an efficently run operation, with staff that were friendly and caring. They were able to have carts during all hours and the access to facility worked. Being in the service industry, you need to meet the needs of your customers and exceed them. Mediocrity should not be tolerated.

You have erratic office hours. Your office should be staffed at posted times and clients should be able to have a simple phone number to call the facility without silly automatic responses. Your online payment system is ancient and barely works. Actual employees seem pleasant.

Your front desk person/receptionist is rude and has an attitude. Did not return call when asked a question of her after she indicated she would check with owner and provide answer. Same individual indicated I would not be allowed to pay online, so I late fees were charged for being late once due to limited hours of the storage unit (just missed getting pymt in by minutes) and due to holiday and random 50 cents for cancer treatment I do not recall agreeing to pay. The business end and not storage end of this center is the problem. Overcharged, overpriced, difficult customer relations as well make for poor opinion.

Friendly staff, good value. It would be better if the hard-working employees had back up so the facility would always be manned (or womaned) when the managers are at lunch or called away from the office. There’s no way to get in touch eith them if there’s an emergency if no one’s in the office.

The unit is great, setting it up was easy and pleasant, but where is your staff? No one is ever there, and it's terrible. I've been trying to reach someone at your South Philadelphia facility the past two months to let them know I moved out and they are still billing me. When I drove back to Philly and stopped by no one was there! Please get someone to answer voicemails and call a customer back. I will not pay a bill when I moved out months ago and asked repeatedly for someone to call me.

Overall good. However, I checked out of the unit on 28 Mar 2018 and received my checkout paperwork. However, my bank account was charged for April 2018 storage. I contacted them and they requested a copy of my check out which I emailed to [email protected] 13 days ago. I have not received me refund as of this time.

The customer service representative dud not inform me of an additional fee! when I attempted to ask questions he had a manager come over to try to explain why he neglected to inform me upfront about the fee, the manager preceded to tell me I had an attitude. Very unprofessional staff!!!
